Do you have a gundog breed but are not interested in shooting? Do you have a mixed breed dog which is showing great natural ability? Do you have a dog that isn’t a gundog at all but just loves retrieving?! Our workshops might be for you!
Gundog workshops for pets are a great outlet for your dog’s innate behaviours. A chance to work with their natural instincts, improve engagement, handler focus, techniques and training skills, through fun and engaging exercises!
Designed to work on the basics such as recall, sit stay and heelwork, alongside stop cues, directional work and hunting. Your dog doesn’t have to be a gundog breed to take part, as long as they have an interest in retrieving, come and have a go!

Over the year we hold several gundog workshops, from working with puppies all the way to more advanced training, as well as specific skill development and training towards the Gundog Club Graded Assessments.

Important Information About This Workshop

Consistency is key when it comes to training and we love to welcome the whole family to take part, enabling you to have a fun learning experience together!

We recommend that all dogs are fully vaccinated before coming to the paddock, due to the high footfall of visiting dogs, wildlife and neighbouring livestock.

Please be aware this workshop is held outside and will go ahead whatever the weather unless for any reason it is unsafe to do so, so please dress appropriately. You will be notified as soon as possible in the case of any cancellations. Refreshments for handlers will be available throughout the workshop.

Full payment is taken on time of booking to secure your place on the workshop. Once booked you will be sent a confirmation email with further details, however if you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

If you are unable to attend for any reason, refunds will not be available for this workshop unless your place can be filled. If you do need to cancel for any reason it should be done as soon as possible via email, stating your name and your dog’s name. This will give the optimum amount of time to find a replacement and so facilitate a refund.

If you have a reactive dog, please contact us prior to booking as this workshop may not be suitable for them.
