Scentwork Workshops

Do you have a nervous dog that you would like to become more confident, with an ability to work more independently? Do you have a confident dog that you’d like to build a stronger bond with and learn to work together as a team? Do you have a reactive or socially introverted dog that you would like to have another outlet of training for? Well scent work is for you!

Sessions are structured so that dogs work individually, meaning that even the most introverted of dogs can relax and enjoy it! Whether your dog has natural ability, just loves to sniff, or you have a high drive or less able-bodied dog and are looking for another outlet for mental and physical exercise, scent work is an ideal activity for all types of dogs. It is not only great fun but enhances the enjoyment of learning for both dog and handler, strengthening the bond between you.

Scent work workshops will run with a maximum of four dogs, in two-hour slots. Dogs usually stay in the cars between searches, which is why this workshop is suitable for reactive dogs, so we do ask that dogs are comfortable with being left in the car.

What is Scentwork?

Harnessing the power of your dog’s nose!

About our Scentwork workshops

Over the year we hold several workshops, from 'Have a Go' taster sessions, an introduction to all things scentwork, to more advanced workshops and specfic skills such as indication, search or training for National Nosework Association trials.

All skill levels and dogs needs can be catered for during scent work shops, as all dogs are worked individually and dogs rest in vehicles between searches.
